Milan the city of Arts

Milan, the capital of the region of Lombardy, is a city able to offer a multitude of sensations. It is a vibrant and rich in works of art culturally very active, modern city. The Dome, late-Gothic style with its bright facade Candoglia marble is the monument-symbol of this city of northern Italy. Its top, stop at the foot of the famous Madonnina (little Madonna), it is possible to enjoy a unique panorama dominated by the 135 pinnacles of the church pointed skyward.

At the heart of the city rises the Royal Palace, the former seat of the municipality of Milan. Currently his areas hosting large art exhibitions. Next to the building is the Museo del Novecento modern (Museum of the twentieth century). Around is another symbol of the city: the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a passage cross-shaped, and covered pedestrian, home to historic restaurants, cafes and trendy shops. The gallery is famous for its beautiful pavement and the beautiful mosaics as well as for its large glass ceiling.

For music lovers, the Place de la Scala and the Teatro alla Scala, one of the largest theaters in the world, certainly represents a necessary step. Milanese theater tradition also relates to other theaters that this splendid city, like the Teatro Piccolo (Little Theater), founded in 1947, the Teatro d'Europa (European Theatre), the Teatro degli Arcimboldi (Arcimboldi Theatre) , regarded as the home of Cabaret.
The Sforzesco Castle, built in the mid-fourteenth century for defensive purposes, was successively transformed into an art gallery which preserves works of art of inestimable value - like Rondanini Pietà by Michelangelo - that make it a true "box" of history and artistic treasures.
Classes Castle you can walk to Sempione Park (47 acres of landscaped garden), home to monuments and historic buildings, including the Arch of Peace (1807) - an imposing neoclassical building facing towards Paris in honor of the victories of Napoleon - and the Palazzo dell'Arte (Palace of Arts), home of the Triennale, with exhibitions of modern art and design collections.
Milan is certainly known as the Italian capital of design and fashion. This is why Milan are held throughout the year many fairs, exhibitions and events industry.
